Day 1: Lima
Upon Arrival in Lima, reception at the airport by an Andean American Tours representative and transfer to the to the selected hotel. Accommodation in a luxury suite with a bottle of champagne. No meals included.
Day 2: Lima
Breakfast in your hotel.
After breakfast, a city tour of Lima including a guided visit to the cathedral, the Main Square and the San Francisco Catacombs. Lunch at the International Rosa Nautica. Visit to a museum of your choice. Dinner on your own.
Day 3: Lima – Cuzco: Sightseeing Tour and Visit to Nearby Ruins
Breakfast in your hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital. After the one hour flight, reception and transfer to the selected hotel. Lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, we will visit the City of Cuzco on a guided sightseeing tour visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha. Then, we drive out of the City to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them standing over 9m/30 ft high and weighing over 130 tons. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner in the evening followed by a folkloric show.
Day 4: Sacred Valley of the Inkas
Breakfast in your hotel.
Full-day excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Inkas", by the Urubamba River. The tour is best on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (because the markets are busier) although this tour runs every day of the week. Our first visit will be to Pisac, founded during Colonial times.Free time to shop or simply watch the locals going by their everyday lives. After the visit, we will have a great buffet lunch with emphasis on locally grown organic produce in the Urubamba Valley. After lunch, a visit to Ollantaytambo, the ancient Inca town with impressive ruins built into the mountain side. built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in the lower jungle. The Fortress consists of a series of stepped carved stone terraces accessed by long staircases.Transfer to your hotel. Dinner on your own.
Day 5: Machu Picchu
Breakfast in your hotel.
Transfer to the railway station for the Vistadome class train to Aguas Calientes. Full day's guided tour in private of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world. Return to Cuzco. Transfer to your hotel. Lunch and dinner are included.
Day 6: Cuzco
Breakfast in your hotel.
Free day in Cuzco to relax and unwind. The afternoon is free for shopping and enjoying Cuzco. We suggest walking around the square and enjoy the nightlife of Cuzco, enjoying a Pisco Sour in some of the many pubs around the square. No meals included.
Day 7: Puno
Breakfast in your hotel.
Transfer to the bus station for the wonderful trans-altiplano Inca express. Lunch onboard . (Alternatively, you may fly to Juliaca and then transfer to Puno). Reception and transfer to the selected hotel. Dinner on your own.
Day 8: Lake Titicaca
Breakfast in your hotel.
After breakfast, a private tour by boat to the island's of Uros on Lake Titicaca. A tour of the reed islands of Uros before continuing onto the wonderful island of Taquile. Late afternoon return to your hotel. Lunch and dinner are included.
Day 9: Sillustani - Juliaca - Lima
Breakfast in your hotel.
Journey towards Juliaca, and an excursion to the Sillustani towers. These ancient funereal towers dating back to pre-inca times are examples of the most ancient cultures found on the altiplano. Lunch in a local Rest. Transfer to Juliaca airport for the flight to Lima. Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Dinner on your own
Day 10: Mancora
Breakfast in your hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Tumbes. Transfer to the wonderful private resort in Mancora on the Pacific Ocean, complete with private beach and all amenities. No meals included.
Day 11: Mancora
Breakfast in your hotel
Free day to enjoy the private beach. Lunch either a BBQ on the beach or in the restaurant. Farewell dinner at the hotel.
Day 12: Mancora - Lima
Breakfast in your hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Tumbes for the flight to Lima and connection with your international flight back home. No meals included.
